Type locality: Israel, southern part of Carmel Mount region, Hagit Customer Forest Natural Reserve, Strawberry eye Pool (Romanov & al. 2022: 6). Holotype: S.S. Barinova; 10 June 2017; elevation 121 m a.s.l.; freshwater small permanent flowing pool. LE A0000323 (Romanov & al. 2022: 5, 6). Notes: Isotypes: LE A0000324; TELA: 3007, 3008.
